A lot of the calls we get are from adult children: Mom's new iPhone isn't set up, Dad's email stopped working, someone called claiming to be from the bank. We'll go to the house, sort it out, and leave notes written in plain language — large print if that helps. No jargon, no rushing, and no making anyone feel bad for asking.
We put real effort into scam-proofing, because older New Yorkers are targeted constantly: we turn on the phone's built-in call and message filtering, lock down email and bank logins with two-step verification, set up a password system that will actually get used, and walk through how to recognize the fake toll texts, utility shutoff calls, and “your computer is infected” pop-ups.
Families often pair a visit with our HomeBase plan ($39/month), which covers unlimited remote help for everyone in the household. If something goes wrong on a Sunday, your parent can call and a technician connects to their screen — and we never call out of the blue asking for access, which is exactly what scammers do.
This is for you if…

- someone in the family got a scam call or clicked a suspicious link
- you live far away and keep getting tech-support calls from your parents
- video calls with family keep failing
- email or bank logins are locked or forgotten

FAQ / TECH HELP FOR SENIORS
Tech help for seniors questions, answered.
Do you come to the home?
Yes. We do in-home visits across the five boroughs and Long Island at $129 an hour, or $99 an hour for HomeBase members. Many problems can also be fixed remotely at $79 an hour.
Can I set this up for my parent if I don't live nearby?
Yes. You can book and pay for a visit, and the HomeBase plan at $39 a month gives everyone in your parent's household unlimited remote help. We'll send you a short note after each visit if your parent agrees.
Can you set up a new iPhone and move everything from the old one?
Yes. We transfer contacts, photos, messages, and apps, make sure iCloud backup is working, set up Medical ID and emergency contacts, and adjust text size and sounds so the phone is comfortable to use.
How do I stop scam calls and texts?
Turn on your phone's built-in silencing for unknown callers and spam filtering, register with the national Do Not Call list, and never act on an urgent call or text — hang up and call the company back at a number you know. We set all of this up and practice it with you.
Is remote support safe?
Remote support from a company you contacted yourself is safe: you start the session, you can see everything, and you can end it anytime. The danger is someone who calls or pops up on your screen first asking for access. We will never contact you out of the blue asking to get on your computer.
Are there free options?
Yes. NYC public libraries and city aging programs offer free tech help classes and drop-in sessions. They're a good place to learn the basics. We're the right call when something needs fixing at home today or needs a hands-on setup.
